Frequently Asked Questions
What is concierge medicine and how is it different from a traditional healthcare practice?
Compared to a traditional internal medicine practice, our concierge healthcare model is designed in a way that lets our physicians devote more personalized time to our patients. Each one of our physicians sees a limited number of patients which allows for individualized care, a stronger physician-patient relationship and specialized attention. We also offer 24/7 access to your physician, same and next day appointments and unhurried office visits that start on time.
What services are provided as part of the annual membership fee?
A comprehensive list of our provided amenities and benefits can be found on our healthcare services page. These popular services are included as part of your membership fee and do not require any additional costs. Outside medical practices that we may refer our patients to are generally covered by your medical insurance and are not covered by our membership fee.
Am I required to pay my annual membership fee even if I don’t use all your services?
As a patient of Sandy Springs Internal Medicine, your annual fee covers a variety of services including the annual history and physical examination. If you have paid your membership fee in full, but decide to leave the practice during your contract period without receiving your annual history and physical examination, then you will be reimbursed the pro-rata amount based upon your start date and your termination date. However, if you choose to leave the practice after receiving your annual history and physical examination, then no refund is due since the majority of the membership fee pays for the annual examination.
We strongly encourage all of our patients to take advantage of our services. Since we specialize in preventative medicine, we highly recommend that you visit our office for routine wellness checks and laboratory testing even if you aren’t currently ill. Doing so is a very important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Who should I contact if I have a medical emergency?
If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, you should call 911 immediately and then contact your physician afterwards. Our physicians are available 24/7 and are always happy to assist you. If you are experiencing a non-urgent issue, please contact us first.
How do I contact my physician?
Our physicians are always available and can be contacted in multiple ways. If you log onto your patient portal account, you will be able to securely and confidentially email your physician. For a quicker response time or for after-hours care, we recommend calling your physician’s personal telephone number. Please visit Sandy Springs Internal Medicine’s contact page to find your physician’s most up-to-date contact information.
Can I get vaccinated for COVID-19 at your office?

If you are interested in receiving a vaccination through our office, please contact us and we will let you know more about our current availability.
